   Beliefs

     The foundation of the beliefs of Parkway Church of Christ is the Bible. We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. Therefore, we look to the Bible as our source of authority.

     The center of our faith is Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus is God’s Son. We believe that God sent Jesus into the world to die on the cross for our sins. God then raised Jesus back to life on the third day, and He appeared to His followers for forty days. After this time he ascended into heaven and is now seated at the right hand of God. Through faith in Jesus Christ we can be reconciled to Him and have eternal life.

 

   Membership

     Membership in the church may be obtained by any person who receives Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior by following the instructions of Jesus and His apostles in the New Testament. To become a member, one must:

  • Have faith in Jesus Christ and believe He is the Son of the Living God, and through his death your sins may be forgiven. (John 3:16, Acts 16:31)
  • Repent of sin, turning away from it and towards God.(Acts 2:38)
  • Confess Jesus as the Lord of your life. (Romans 10:9-10)
  • Be Baptized by immersion. (Matthew 28:18-20, Romans 6:1-14)
